| Bridges: IN SITU |

The first set of images below is from an installation of three bridges in a series I call Offerings. They are made of burnt matchsticks and are my memorials to the children who are dying at the U.S./Mexico border. They are painted in gold and phosphorescent paints that glow when the sun goes down.

___

Alone or together, each stick is burned.
Then bathed in gold and phosphorescent paints.
Now a thousand tiny votives bound together.
Not a fence, but a bridge --- three bridges.
Burning on, holding vigil, staying awake, breathing.
